Anne Whitmore
I hold an undergraduate degree in English and Communications, and my post-graduate work is in Organizational Development. Divafish Communications emerged in 2000 to meet the needs of companies in transition. My experience in high tech marketing and project management brought a systemic balance to the creative process.
I quickly realized that it was the people behind the companies I enjoyed working with to realize their full potential. This realization led me to seek more training to further enhance the services I could offer and I began to focus on Co-Active® Coaching.
I also am deeply committed to community involvement that builds leadership and communication skills. I served as Area Governor for ToastmastersInternationalin Burnaby/Vancouver and our Area was awarded Distinguished status for reaching goals at area and club levels. I achieved the Distinguished Toastmaster designation which is the highest level possible by completing both the leadership and communication training. I also serve as Vice President of the Board of Directors at Burnaby Caprice Synchronized Swimming Club and provincial Program Director for Synchro BC.
I try hard to balance work with play and in my “me-time” enjoy pottery, dance, and fibre arts. You can see some of my creations at www.blackbamboo.ca. Creating community is a passion of mine. I co-lead a weekly knitting group in New Westminster, Knit 1, Take 2, whose purposes are to inspire and encourage each other, to develop our skills, and also to work on group projects to give back to our community. I live with my partner in New Westminster, BC.
